A Message from Rian Nostrum: Investing in Our Future Through the ACUHO-I Foundation

Hello UMR-ACUHO colleagues,

I’m Rian Nostrum, and it’s a pleasure to reconnect with many of you. I had the honor of serving in the UMR Presidential Cycle from 2013 to 2015, and today I’m excited to continue my service to our region by representing UMR ACUHO on the ACUHO-I Foundation Regional Cabinet.

As professionals in campus housing and residence life, we know firsthand the importance of ongoing development—for ourselves, our colleagues, and our students. That’s why I want to share a few highlights about the impactful work of the ACUHO-I Foundation, and invite you to be part of it.

Formed in 1988, the ACUHO-I Foundation has remained committed to advancing our field. In 2024 alone, thanks to the generosity of donors like you, the Foundation invested more than $316,000 into the profession. This included:

• Over $70,000 in scholarships through Endowment and Advancing Professional funds
• More than $162,000 in research, education, and community program support
• Over $84,000 directed to strategic initiatives shaping the future of our work

When you give to the Foundation, you’re not just donating—you’re investing in the future of campus housing and in the success of our students. Whether it’s funding critical research, supporting professional development, or creating innovative educational programming, your support makes a real difference.

• $25/month – Pathfinder
• $50/month – Trailblazer
• $85/month for 5 years – IMD Society
• $150/month for 5 years – Legacy Donor Society
